Complete new Commercial Kitchen in 10 days
We were recommended to the client by one of our suppliers.
After a brief phone conversation we travelled to site to meet the Owner and the Head Chef.
We discussed their brief and gained an understanding of the timescales and budget.
With Chris , our lead project manager , having nearly 20 years hands on experience as Head Chef and owner of multiple successful restaurateurs we were able to identify the pinch pints in the current very busy kitchen. This was achieved by watch the kitchen and the staff in a very busy service.
After a number of discussions about the clients expectations , evaluating a number of proposed layouts the client had and offering up our outline proposals we were commissioned to undertake the project.
The complete gutting of the kitchen was being undertaken at the same time as a complete overhaul to the front of house and external areas. Working along side their designer we undertook responsibility for the entire kitchen project ( less running new electrical services )
As soon as the work was agreed we produced full 3D drawings , which enabled the client to visulaise the new kitchen. These drawings lead to a number of small revisions resulting from our discussions with the Chef about layout and with the site owner increasing slightly the budget to get the specification of equipment Chef requested.
As soon as the layout was signed off , we produced full service drawings and arranged a meeting with the clients electrical contractor.
Our Scope of Works included
Rip out and disposal of existing extraction and old gas manifold.
Removal and secure storage of kitchen equipment being retained
Complete gutting of existing kitchen , including removal of old wall , floor and ceilings
We installed new gas manifold to service two separate cook lines
Two new 304 grade stainless steel extraction canopies with flush fit LED lighting and designed to latest dimensions to accommodate stacked Rational Ovens
New Mechanical Air Input System
We provided new
Commercial Kitchen flooring and full hygienic wall cladding including stainless steel behind the cook lines.
We had installers working through the night to ensure all our trades could work together to meet the strict 10 day turn round!
New bespoke stainless steel fabrications including wall tables , wall shelves , mobile stands etc
We designed , supplied and install a new walk in cold room
Finally all the new equipment and freshly cleaned and serviced existing equipment was installed commissioned and signed off .
Hand over achieved in the original time frame !
